Melcosoft Minetest Server
Melcosoft Minetest is a free server for the open-source voxel sandbox Minetest (since 2024 the engine is called Luanti). The server has been running since August 2021, and its modpack is built around technology: players build power grids, energy storage, nuclear reactors and automated production lines. Newcomers start at Melcosoft Base, a starter base with a crafting center, free resources and a hotel, so your first steps are not a long hunt for materials. The deeper you dig, the stronger the monsters get, so come prepared. You can join from a computer or an Android phone, and there is no separate registration: your account is created on first login.

Tech mods
Electricity, machines and automation: the modpack is built around technological progress, not just survival.
Power and nuclear reactors
The server has a nuclear power plant, a reactor control station, an energy storage station and fully automated processing of uranium into fuel rods.
Melcosoft Base starter hub
A crafting center powered by the nuclear plant lets you make everything you need right away. To get to the base after your first spawn, simply respawn.
Free resources
The base has a resource station for players, fridges with food and seeds for anyone who wants to farm. Everything is free.
A hotel for newcomers
Not ready to build a house yet? Take a room with a bed, a chest, a safe and a table. You can set it as your home point, just mark it as occupied.
Monsters and depth
Monsters live underground, and the deeper you dig, the more dangerous they are. Good gear makes for a successful expedition.
Rewards for playtime
You earn in-game currency while you play. Exchange it for coins (press i) and buy food from vending machines to keep hunger away.
PC and Android
The server is listed publicly, so you can join from the app on a computer or a phone. Registration happens automatically on first login.

- Open Join Game and search for Melcosoft
- Enter a username and password; your account is created on first login

How do I join from a computer?
Install Minetest (Luanti) from the official site luanti.org, open the Join Game tab, search for Melcosoft, enter the username and password you want and click Connect.
How do I join from Android?
Install the Luanti app (formerly Minetest) from Google Play, choose Join Game, search for Melcosoft, enter a username and password and tap Connect.
The search does not find the server. What should I do?
Type the name in Latin letters: Melcosoft.
Do I need to register separately?
No. Your account is created automatically on first login with the username and password you choose. Remember your password, you will need it next time.
Is the server paid?
No. Like the whole Melcosoft network, the Minetest server is free.
