This Privacy Policy explains what information Melcosoft LLC ("Melcosoft", "we", "us") collects, how we use it and what choices you have. It applies to our website https://melcosoft.cc, the master account portal https://melcosoft-ma.games, the forum https://melcosoft.community, the support portal https://melcosoft.help, Melcosoft Launcher and our game servers (together, the "Services").
1. Information we collect
Account information: when you create a master account we store your login, email address and a hashed password. Game accounts and characters you create are linked to your master account.
Game and forum data: in-game progress, character data, forum posts and support requests you submit.
Voluntary support records: if you choose to support the project, we keep a record of the amount, date and payment provider. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not receive or store your card details.
Technical data: IP address, browser or client version, device and connection data, and server logs needed to operate and protect the Services. For launcher download statistics we replace IP addresses with a salted one-way hash before analysis.
Cookies and analytics: our website uses cookies and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
2. How we use information
To provide and secure the Services: accounts, game servers, launcher, forum and support.
To prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, and to enforce our rules.
To measure and improve the Services using aggregated statistics (for example, how many visitors download the launcher or return to the game).
To contact you about your account or support requests. We do not send marketing email to people who have not registered.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. YouTube API Services and Google user data
Melcosoft uses YouTube API Services in an internal tool that manages the official Melcosoft YouTube channel. The tool is operated only by the Melcosoft team and is authorized only with the Google account that manages our channel. It does not ask other YouTube users to sign in and does not access their accounts.
Through YouTube API Services the tool reads the metadata and public statistics of our own channel and videos, reads YouTube Analytics reports for our own channel (aggregated figures such as views, watch time, traffic sources and subscriber changes, with no information that identifies individual viewers), edits titles, descriptions and tags of our own videos, and uploads videos to our own channel.
This data is stored in our own database on servers we control and is used only to publish and measure content on our channel. We do not share it with third parties and do not use it for advertising.
Melcosoft's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy
By using the parts of the Services that rely on YouTube, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. Google processes data according to the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Access granted to our tool can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. On revocation, or on request, we delete stored API data within 30 days, except aggregated statistics that no longer relate to a Google account.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Services (hosting, content delivery, payment processing, analytics), when required by law, or to protect our users and the Services.
5. Retention and security
We keep account and game data while your account exists. Server logs are kept for a limited period, normally up to 90 days. We protect data with access controls, encryption in transit and restricted administrative access, but no system is completely secure.
6. Your choices and rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information through our support portal: https://melcosoft.help. Deleting your master account also removes the game accounts linked to it.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes and contact
